The Modification of Existing Custody and Visitation Orders

After a divorce has been finalized, a substantial change in circumstances can occur, making a modification of the original order necessary. A job change might require relocation. One of the parents may have a shift change at work and not be available at the agreed upon visitation times. Health matters may make it necessary to shift physical custody from one parent to the other.
